Every year in Prince William County, each grade puts out a school supply list.  They say it is a requirement for each student to have this supply list by the first day of school.  Have you ever wondered what happens to the students that can't afford to purchase all those supplies?  Ask any teacher you know and they will have a troubling story about a student that struggled to just to have the basic tools like paper, pencils, notebooks to do well in school.  Please help us, help our Prince William County Community collect school supplies for our local Prince William County students who are in need of free school supplies before their earlier than usual start date of  August 31, 2015.

 Prince William County Students will be starting school much earlier than they are used to for the 2015 school year. 

 

Labor Day weekend has long been a special weekend for families to get in the last vacation before school starts or to make the final preparations to get this kids ready for school.  But, those traditions are changing for us here in Prince William County.   Last year the School Board voted unanimously to start Prince William County Schools August 31, 2015. 

 

 With the drawbacks of an earlier start date of August 31, 2015 for Prince William County, also comes some perks.  With the new earlier start date, it allows the students to have 2-weeks off for winter break and an earlier last day of school of June 17, 2016.
