How has the shut down impacted you or your business?

In the Northern Virginia area many of my friends and clients have been impacted by the shutdown and now have to adjust their plans. I heard from friends that are canceling vacations, others are not buying the new car they wanted and then other are not moving forward with buying or selling their home due to the uncertainty of what's going on with the shutdown. 

The shutdown has real impact on families in Northern Virginia and I am sure everywhere else in the country.

I will not get political here but I will say it is a shame that one of the most powerful country in the world can not get it together to keep the government open. 

Active Rain Member I would like to meet

First of all I have to be honest I already met her once, but I would love to meeting her again. She is wonderful and really knows what she is talking about. Lori Ballen, with Keller Williams in Las Vegas has changed how I market my business.  

About a year ago I met Lori for the fist time. One of my co-workers recommended that I attend Lori's training. Lori has truly been a game changer for me. Since I attended her training I have made it to the first page of google on several search phrases and have received many leads by using the Ballen Method for Lead Generation. I am following Lori on Facebook and Twitter and she always has great tips for agents. If you don't know Lori yet you should check her out on Facebook, Twitter or of course on Active Rain. She knows what she is talking about when it comes to internet lead generation and my success has been proof of that.

There is truly no place like home. Whenever I go away, if it is for a weekend trip, a longer vacation or just going to work, coming home is always special. Walking into my home makes me feel happy. When my husband and I were home shopping, we both fell in love with the front porch, but honestly I don't have a particular special corner in my home. I love coming home and being in my own surroundings and knowing that it is my place is even more special, but THE MAIN REASON why I always love coming home is my little furry friend.

He greets me at the door each and every time I walk into the house, no matter if I was gone for just a couple of hours, a whole day or week, he is always happy to seeing me and so am I, I am always happy seeing my cat.

So I would say my favorite place in my house is wherever my cat is and since my cat is always close to me that's pretty much everywhere. If I am working at my desk, or just catching up on Facebook my cat is always close by.

If you have a special furry friend in your life you know exactly what I am talking about. Animals can give you unconditional love without expecting anything in return. There is truly no place like home and that has always been true for me, but my home became even more special after adopting my first rescue cat. My cat Blackie makes my home special to me.

 My husband has never been a big animal person and to be honest I tricked him into adopting our first cat by telling him we were just fostering! Long story short he fell in love with the cat and is so happy that the cat greets him each time he comes home. As a matter of fact the first thing my husband does when he walks into the house is play with the the cat and sneak him some treats. The two of them have their own special routine. My husbands favorite place in the house is the family room and I know the room becomes a little more special when he/we can share it with our furry friend.
