Prince William County Students will get another snow day tomorrow March 4th 2014. So far this has been quite a school year for students in our area and although some are happy about all the snow days many are tired of all the snow, especially Prince William County Parents.

After Prince William County School Board announced the closing I saw some happy posts from my teacher friends, but some unhappy posts from many parents. Although everyone understands safety comes first all this snow has been very frustrating this year so far.

First thing this morning I saw many of my friends post updates from Inside Nova regarding the Prince William County School Board decision to make up for the many snow days we had so far this school year.

According to Insidenova, Prince William County will be extending the school year by one day and recess will be limited to 10 minutes a day. This will help make up for the 15 hours of instruction time lost sue to all the snow days this school year.

Also one of the Teachers workdays will now be a regular school day,  March 31.

The shortened recess is for elementary students only.

The last day of school before summer break will now be a full day of school.

Prince William County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow February 14.2014. After today's snow day for Prince William County Students this will be the second day in a row for them to be off. With the upcoming Presidents Day Holiday this will be making a 5 day weekend for Prince William County Students and teachers.

My teacher friends are happy to have another day off, but I know they will be regretting it come summer when they have to make up for the missed snow days.
