Occoquan is a beautiful historic town with lots to offer. Shops and restaurants along the Occoquan River, some of my favorite restaurants are located in Occoquan. To start with there is the great and highly rated Bistro L'Hermitage, a french restaurant with an superb menu.

There is also a Belgian Restaurant Cock & Bowl which offers outstanding Belgian Waffles and a my favorite steamed mussels and an assortment of European Beers. 

Then there is Madigan's which is located right at the Occoquan River Waterfront. Can it get any better then live music at the waterfront during a hot summer day.

Occoquan has great shopping with some unique stores. If you have never been to Occoquan you should go there and check it out.

Mom's Apple Pie Bakery & Mom's Wine Shop. The bakery offers the best pies in the area. They are always busy and even had Michelle Obama shop at their store. 

Bistro L'Hermitage fine dining in the Woodbridge VA area. Great French restaurant with a delicious menu.

Earlier today I had dinner at the Cock & Bowl in Occquan with my Boyfriend. I love that place and especially the waffles. They are soooo delicious. So far I have been at Cock and Bowl in the summer and now during the colder season. In the summer they have great outdoor seating and each time I have been there during nice weather the place is packed. Not surprising as you get great foods and great drinks. They have a wide variety of European Beers.
