The other day I received a call from a client that is considering to relocate from Florida to the Northern Virginia area. She has family in this area and is considering moving closer to her family. They are considering renting short term while finding a home for their young family. I told them about different areas in Northern Virginia and we talked about price ranges.Like mostly everyone moving to this area my client would like to be as close to DC as possible, be in an excellent school district and have all possible amenities available in the community. Dale City Woodbridge Winter Farmers Market

Yesterday I went to the Dale City Winter Farmers Market. It wasn't the nicest day to be outside and I felt bad for the vendors to having to be out there, but despite the bad weather the Dale City Farmers Market was well visited. As a matter of fact when I got there I overheard one of the vendors saying today was their first day at the Dale City Farmers market and they sold out. I got there around 11:30.

The Dale City Farmers Market is located in the commuter lot in Center Plaza in Dale City. The opening hours are Sundays 8 am to 1 pm. The winter Farmers Market is a little smaller then the regular Dale City Farmers Market but you can still get anything you are looking for. I like to go to the Farmers Market to buy fresh bread.

Where to best find local Foreclosures and Short Sales?

When working with Home Buyers I often get emails or calls with questions about homes that are already sold or under contract. The other day I got an email from a first time home buyer, she was so exited that she found all these great homes at these excellent prices. She emailed me a list with 10 homes every single one of the 10 homes was under contract or sold a while back. I felt so bad to telling her sorry none of the homes you found are available.

What to do? Where to best look for home for sale?

Many of the big websites actually show any home in the area and not just the once that are actually available!

Use a website your local Realtor recommends. Find Foreclosures or Short Sales right here

Searching for homes on a website that will show you the homes that are actually for sale will safe you so much time and safe you from getting frustrated.

Poor Kitty Cat, Woodbridge Virginia Animal Care Center

So today's blog post doesn't have anything to do with Real Estate, well maybe a little bit. 

Early this morning I had to bring my kitty to the vet to getting fixed. I feel terrible for him but of course that's what responsible pet owners are supposed to do, but that doesn't make me feel any better. I know many of the pet owners out there fell just like I. They really feel bad for their animal but know that its best for the animal now and in the long run. I remember when one of my friends had to bring in her dog to getting him neutered. She felt so bad for him and the dog had to stay over night at the vet. Luckily I can pick up my Blackie later this afternoon, he will not have to stay overnight. Long story short with my friends dog, the vet told her he had to rest for a while, but trying to tell that to an active young dog is easier said then done. He was back to his regular puppy routine so quickly and he forgot all about the procedure. I hope the same for my Blackie. 

I am glad I have such a great vet. The team at Crossroads Animal Care Center are really good and I know they will take good care of my little cat. If you are looking for a great Vet, I highly recommend Crossroads Animal Care Center. I first learned about them from my friends at Animal Allies Woodbridge, that's where I adopted my cat from.

Already got a call from the vet saying my little Blackie is doint fine and that I can pick him up later this afternoon. It is really strange not having him with me in the office.
